【如何禮貌地提出要求】2018/05/21
提出要求，除了多用Please, Thank you, Excuse me之外，有時候還是顯得太直接，讓人有上對下、命令別人的感覺。為了維持良好的關係、讓人感到被尊重，溝通時，可以用情態助動詞(modal verbs)，如: can, may, shall , will。然而，替換成could, might, should, would，會讓要求更為正式且禮貌。
直接語氣: Please send me the report. (請傳報告給我。)
禮貌說法: Could you please send me the report?(請傳報告給我，謝謝。)
直接語氣: May I use the chair? (請問我可以用椅子嗎?)
禮貌說法: Might I use the chair?(冒昧請問，椅子可以用嗎?)
直接語氣: Excuse me, do you mind moving the car?(不好意思，您介意移車嗎?)
禮貌說法: Would you mind moving the car, please? (麻煩一下，可以請您移車嗎?)
耐人尋味的是，這些看似疑問句的要求，似乎並不是需要回答，而是有要求、尋求許可的意思。
有時學了英文，跟母語人士溝通，還是卡卡嗎?有時候用更禮貌的方式，雖然聽起來有距離感、說起來迂迴繞口，但能更有人緣，也不會顯得無禮喔。
